Some apps are better than others and constant updates might improve the experience. In the end, this was such a faff for me that I resorted (reverted) to using my index finger for handwritten notes. There is also a variance in offset depending on how the pen is orientated such that you can cut it down a little by rotating the pen in your fingers. The angle made a huge difference and angling the iPad up to meet the hand in an effort to make this angle as perpendicular as possible still did not eradicate the issue. The issue I had with it was the offset between the nib touching the screen and the writing appearing on the screen (an iPad mini). It's OK and with perserverance you can make it work for you. I really gave this a go and wanted it to work. I wouldn't say this was a stylus for drawing (there are others in the Adonit range which suit that more), however you can use this one with ArtStudio. Penultimate is fine if you only want to take handwritten notes, but I usually want to convert to text, so I don't use that one so much. I tend to use it with Penultimate as I like how it will take notes and convert to text, but 7NotesHD is quite good and there are light versions of each app to try before you buy. This is OK, but I found that I was buying quite a few apps to try it out and they are around £5 each. The weight of the stylus is nice for writing and taking notes, however I was initially disappointed as it only pairs with a few of the iTunes apps to include palm protection. Not a problem as I have now invested in a more robust screen protector rather than the cheap one I had on before, but I would not recommend using this without one! However - I have found that it's very easy to use quite a bit of pressure and it has scratched my screen protector quite badly. This is a very responsive stylus and is well designed for writing.
